Hire Local is a partnership of the Memphis Medical District Collaborative (MMDC), participating anchor institutions, and local workforce providers in order to connect training, education, and employment opportunities to residents in and around the Memphis Medical District. Emergency Assistance Fund

In our efforts to better serve our community during this unprecedented health crisis, the Medical District Collaborative formed the HIRE CARES Emergency Assistance Fund for participants in our HIRE Local program. 55.9% of the residents in our job portal reported they were unemployed mostly due to COVID-19. This fund prioritized support to families in the 38103, 38104, 38105, 38106, 38107, 38112, 38114, 38126 zip codes who are disproportionately affected by the virus.
