The Urban Summit: Day I

  • Mississippi Boulevard Church 70 North Bellevue Boulevard Memphis, TN, 38104 United States (map)

Ending poverty requires Memphis to become a city where all our neighbors can thrive in our workplaces. The 2020 Urban Summit invites business leaders, members of the faith community, nonprofit practitioners, and citizens to launch a citywide effort to create thriving workplaces for all.

The 2020 Conference is focused on how to create workplaces where everyone thrives in our community. This year, we take the 2020 Challenge that calls on employers and nonprofits to make a tangible change towards economic justice.  At The Urban Summit, you will hear business owners, innovators, workers, and faith leaders tackle questions like:

What are the best practices for getting to workplaces where everyone thrives?

What are solutions to the challenges businesses and organizations face around wages, work structure, culture and more?

How can I bring my personal gifts to create flourishing workplaces through volunteering and advocacy?

The 2020 Challenge calls on businesses and nonprofits to bring both decision-makers and frontline staff to the Summit. We call on churches and individuals to come and join us in this effort. And we invite everybody to show up ready to commit to practical action for economic justice.
