MMDC Small Business Emergency Assistance Fund
In response to the economic hardships experienced by small businesses resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, MMDC is launching the Small Business Emergency Assistance Fund in an effort to retain jobs and stabilize Medical District businesses.
Businesses can request up to $15,000 in grant funding through this fund program.
There are limited dollars for these funds; awards will be based on order of application received, application responses, demonstration of need and available dollars.
Approval is at the sole discretion of the Memphis Medical District Collaborative.
ELIGIBILITY
Food, Beverage and/or Third Place business. "Third Place" refers to places where people spend time between home (‘first’ place) and work (‘second’ place). They are locations where we exchange ideas, have a good time, and build relationships beyond our transactions (buying of a good or service).

Business must have seen a decrease in revenue from February 2020 to March 2020
Owner/Applicant must submit a statement detailing all strategic measures being taken to remain open and retain as much staff as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic including a snapshot of current and projected finances
Owner/Applicant must share budget details describing exactly how funds will be used
Owner/Applicant must share details of other resources pursued during this time
Business has or will have active liability insurance within 30 days
Owner/Applicant has or will have current bookkeeping records for the business 2020 Year to date

APPLICATION
Applications for the first round of funding will be accepted until April 17, 2020 at 11:59pm.
Applicants will be required to upload supporting documents.
